What’s the status of your home? Take a moment to look at your surroundings. Would you say that you are in a state of CHAOS – Can’t have anyone over soon? Well, you are not alone! There are plenty of other people in the same boat as you.

So, let’s talk about it. Here are some common reasons why your home may be in a state of CHAOS:
• You have gone through something tragic in your life and simply struggled to get through each day. Meanwhile, the clutter has built up around you. Often times, the fog of the tragedy lifts and you simply don’t know where to start to get your home and life back in order. In this case, hiring an organizer is perfect because we see the vision of the space being used to it’s full potential and can work with you step by step with patience and empathy. Maybe you have tried to overcome the clutter yourself and you simply cannot because it’s just too much for you to even attempt to get through. I can help by coming up with a strategy to work through the clutter and organizing what’s left, the important stuff.
• Another issue that you may face is that you are simply too busy and dread dealing with the mess. You just add to it and never attack it because let’s face it, to most people, it’s not a fun job. Honesty, this is what I find joy in. I love the opportunity to transform your space and make it function more efficiently. Working together is so much more fun then trying to tackle the large project on your own.
• In addition to the two I’ve already mentioned, often you truly want to be organized! And I mean really organized. So much so that it’s holding you back. You want it to be done so perfectly that you can’t and don’t even start the project. Here’s what I have to say about that…progress is progress and it doesn’t happen overnight. Doing something is better than doing nothing. When consulting with clients, I often tell them that even though they have clutter, the room is going to get worse before it gets better and they laugh at the though of it. But I’m being honest with them. It truly does get worse before it gets better and this is why you have to take it one step at a time. Instead of tackling the entire home office, start with the piles on the desk and sort them out so that you can eventually get to what needs to be filed. The key to this is to be focused. It is so easy to get distracted and want to organize a little here and a little there but as a result, nothing ever gets completely organized. Organize and finish one area before moving on to the next. Believe me, it’s hard for me too. I often get so excited to organize multiple rooms in a home that I have to remind myself to finish one project before I move on to another.

To sum it all up, CHAOS isn’t good for the soul. It often causes stress and anxiety. It wastes your time and money because you cannot find what you are looking for and end up replacing the items. It’s hard to embrace your space if you can’t stand being in it. There is no shame in asking for help and sometimes, it’s the only way to get the job done. Let me create the plan of action that works for you and your family’s lifestyle. No matter how bad your CHAOS is, I’m nonjudgmental. I simply want to help you get things in order, reduce the clutter and have you embrace your space. If you or someone you know needs help, please share my information. I would love the opportunity to bring some light and love to their space.
